This realization came after years of teaching missions and world cultures to children and seeing how quickly their hearts responded when things were made simple and tangible. I also kept hearing the same struggle from parents: “I care about this, but I don’t know how to actually do it at home.” Until We’re Home exists to offer simple, thoughtful resources that help families move from intention to action. The result is not just more information, but a deeper rhythm of understanding and prayer that shapes how families see and engage the world together.

Hi, I’m Laura
Until We’re Home was born out of a growing burden for something I couldn’t ignore.
For years, I found myself captivated by God’s heart for the nations—reading Scripture and realizing how often the call to “all peoples” was woven throughout His story. At the same time, I was living in the tension of wanting to pass that same heart on to my own children and the families around me, but seeing how easily it could feel distant, overwhelming, or reserved for “someone else.”
That tension became more real as I began teaching missions and world cultures to children. I watched how quickly their hearts responded when the world was made tangible—when stories, places, and people came off the page and into something they could actually see and understand. It was simple, but it was powerful
Over time, I kept hearing the same quiet struggle from parents: “I care about this deeply, but I don’t know how to bring it into our home in a way that’s easy and actually sticks.” That stayed with me. Because it wasn’t a lack of desire—it was a lack of simple, accessible tools.
Until We’re Home grew out of that gap. Out of years of teaching, learning, and living this alongside my own family. My heart is to help parents feel equipped, not overwhelmed, to lead their children in learning about and praying for the nations. To turn something that can feel distant into something deeply personal. And to see everyday family rhythms become a place where God’s global story is not just learned, but lived.
