Why “Until We’re Home”?

This feels like a big question to answer in a blog post. How do you sum up the entire heartbeat and purpose of three little words that pack quite the punch?

Let’s try.

What will you do with the time you’ve been given here on earth, each day putting one foot in front of the other, as you journey Home?

That is the question we hope sits on the minds of every person that comes across our instagram account, visits our website, or purchases something from our store. We are each walking out the days numbered for us by our Sovereign and Holy God, partnering with Him in the work He has ordained for us to do, each having unique talents He has bestowed upon us by the Creator, with the shared goal of seeing all of creation redeemed and restored in our eternal and forever Home.

Phew!

Jesus’ first response, when looking at the state of lostness and distress among the people, was to call His disciple to take in the harvest field, to consider with compassion the state of those that have yet to be brought into the fold of grace. He then tells them to pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send out workers into the field.

This is the work the Lord of the Harvest has called us to tend–the work of prayer, yes, and the work of prodding. Prodding the hearts of believers to lift their eyes to the harvest and consider what tool, what field, what work is the Lord of the Harvest asking them to faithfully tend.

And then encourage you to go and do it!

Until we’re Home, let us faithfully tend to the Harvest fields we’ve been called to with all diligence and hope, for the Lord of the Harvest is coming soon… will your hands be dirty?
